Meet Andy

Dr Andy Dobbins FWMSoc is a SaaS co-founder, executive operator and strategic advisor with extensive experience in water, compliance, environmental services, technology and operational delivery.
His career combines scientific precision, practical leadership and a deep understanding of regulated service environments where compliance, service quality, operational control and commercial performance all have to work together.
With a background in neuroscience and early work in biological mass spectrometry, Andy developed a structured, evidence-led approach to complex systems, data and technology. He later co-founded and helped scale an industry-leading compliance and asset management SaaS business, working across product development, operations, service delivery, reporting, customer engagement, acquisition, integration and value creation.
That business supported customers across the UK, Europe, the USA and Australia, including global organisations using the platform as part of day-to-day operations and service delivery. This gave Andy direct experience of international customers, partners and operating models, as well as the practical challenge of making software, data, people and service delivery work together in real organisations.
A Fellow of the Water Management Society and its Honorary Treasurer for six years, Andy brings particular depth in water hygiene, Legionella control, compliance and asset-intensive service environments. He understands the challenge of turning monitoring, operational data and high-frequency information into clear decisions, workflows, evidence and accountable action.
That combination shapes the Dobbins Strategy approach: understand complexity properly, bring clarity to what matters, align the right capability, and stay close enough to delivery to ensure strategy translates into measurable real-world results.
